Curiosity is Essential with Gabe Lyons
When you first became a believer, did you think you would eventually have enough knowledge that you would feel a great deal of certainty? I know I did. But our journey of faith doesn't work that way. We are always learning and growing, as we should be. When we reach a rigid certainty, it’s likely we have halted our progress.
Today's podcast episode is with Gabe Lyons, who is the host and founder of Q Conference. He believes we should hold the posture of staying curious, thinking well, and doing good. When Gabe started his ministry, he realized that many people were being given the answers instead of being prompted to think for themselves. He set out to help people stay curious.
In this podcast, Gabe and I discuss the beauty that can come from exposing ourselves to a wide array of voices and taking the time to be thoughtful about the significant issues in our lives.
Gabe Lyons is the co-author of Good Faith and unChristian, and author of The Next Christians. He founded Q, a learning community of Christian leaders who seek to engage thoughtfully in the current cultural moment. Gabe seeks to equip Christians to apply their faith in their daily life by openly discussing some of the most controversial issues we all face and applying a biblical framework to participate in restoring broken relationships and institutions.
