Worship in Community

Did you know Jesus praised and worshiped? I imagine his singing was filled with gratitude. He sang a hymn, knowing that soon he was to be arrested, betrayed, spat upon, beaten, and crucified, all while being an innocent man! He sang and then went. Wow. May we be encouraged to follow Jesus, singing.

This week, notice how thinking with gratitude fills your heart with a desire to worship and praise, and notice how worship songs fill your heart with gratitude.

I also want to encourage you to worship with other believers. Why is this important? Something glorious happens when we gather and hear each other sing. Jesus chose to sing with his disciples. Together, they lifted up prayers of thanksgiving, worship, and praise. I am sure they blessed one another as they did this. I wish I had been there. But I am, at least in spirit, when I worship with you.

Which worship song is your favorite right now and why?
