Praying Like Jesus

Prayer is a conversation with God, a mode of worship to our Lord, and a way to give him thanks for his loving-kindness. Prayer is a time to confess to God, to remind us that there is now no longer condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Prayer is the vehicle to petition our loving God for our deepest needs, a time to give to God what we can no longer carry or would never be able to resolve.

Prayer was foundational to Jesus. It was his way of life.

He prayed for people, the nation of Israel, for the sick, for the dead, for his disciples, for our future, and for himself. He had a favorite place to pray too. The Mount of Olives was his go-to place when he needed to pray alone. Jim and I have traveled there. I can’t blame Jesus. It’s so beautiful and has a great view of the city of Jerusalem!

I share a devotional every Monday. I don't want you to miss it! If you haven't signed up for the email list yet, make sure you do at www.inesfranklin.com/subscribe.
