Supported in Relationship

What keeps us from great relationships? There is a long list that includes pride, hurt, insecurity, prejudice, selfishness, personality differences, and so much more. Broken relationships can lead us to wish we will never need another person again. Yet, we were created for relationships. Without trying, we all need other people. Central to our human nature is an inborn "with-ness." We will always need relationships, and it's a good thing.

God means for our relationships to be a blessing!

Today's devotional is about one such relationship. A model for us to follow. How we do relationship matters. Relationships break down when we manipulate, set unreasonable expectations, or operate out of jealousy. But, they are built up when we communicate with honesty, are vulnerable with someone, are free to be ourselves, and love unconditionally. I hope you enjoy this week's devotional on Ruth and Naomi.

Key Scriptures: Ruth 1:6-19
